First Day Back Updates!

Dear students: welcome and welcome back to San Antonio College!  We at the Honors Academy hope you have had a great summer and our ready to get rolling for the Fall 2017 semester.  I wanted to share some quick updates with you for this week.

First off, if you are having trouble figuring out where your classes are: please click on “How-to Links” at the top of the page and then “How to Find Your Classes on Campus Using Aces.”  This is a short video that will show you where the room numbers are as well as how to use the campus map to navigate to the appropriate room.  Please click here to see a copy of the campus map.

If you need a bus pass: these are available at no cost to all students (they are included in your student fees)!  Visit the Business Office located in the Fletcher Administration building and receive a sticker on your student ID.  Simply show your student ID when using the bus.  (Don’t have a student ID?  This office is located directly to the right of the Business Office).

Last, we will be having a few honors activities this week!  As part of welcome back, we will have breakfast available (while supplies last) in the Honors Academy Center on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week from 8-10 AM.  Come grab some pastries and coffee!  On Wednesday at 12 PM we will also have a Taboo Showdown.  Meet fellow honors students and show off your Taboo skills!

Hiring Work Studies!

Attn students: the Writing Center is hiring!  If you have a 3.5 GPA, have completed English 1301 and 1302, and receive a Pell Grant, please email me at
Students who do not qualify for a Pell Grant are ineligible as work study compensation is a form of Financial Aid.

Also!  The Director of Student Success will also be hiring a work study to work with the SACMEN program.  Please contact her at to inquire about qualifications!
